A beautiful silent movie about a couple.It starts as they meet in a harbor-café: passionate and afraid to show themselves completely to the other. Years later they’ve ended up on a couch in front of the television. They grow old and go out into the city that has moved on. They loose sight of each other and are lost in a strange, unknown world. Their dependency on each other brings them back together and back to where their love started: by the sea.It is a nice, artistically filmed movie full of symbolism. The characters sometimes attract the other, then keep each other at a distance: it’s a play between being dependent on the other and being an independent individual. The actors move like dancers across the screen. Although no-one speaks in the movie and there are only a few sets, it doesn’t get boring. On the contrary: all the time it is a fascinating story that’s being told.
