Prince Alexander of Daventry (Robbie Benson) travels to a kingdom of islands after he sees the distressed image of the lady he loves, Princess Cassima, in a magic mirror. He arrives to find all of the islands fighting, Cassima locked away, her parents killed, and everything is under the hand of an evil vizir. In order to rescue both the princess and her home, Alexander must reunite the islands and find a way into the castle before Cassima is forced to marry the vizir.
