Sherlock Holmes Movie to do Reshoots

This movie has been a long movie in the making and now seems like its going to be even longer. After shooting the new Sherlock Holmes moving starring, Robert Downey Jr, Rachel McAdams and Guy Ritchie, Warner Bros. is now saying that they will have to do a five week reshoot.

Apparently the brass at WB said that Ritchie’s original cut wasn’t good enough and one scene in particular was, “ridiculously unrealistic”. A source for the site said the scenes in question were shot while Ritchie was apparently “distracted” from his divorce with Madonna. “It’s disastrous news, but Guy has promised to fix it,” the site’s source said.

If this is true, Guy Ritchie is going to be in a lot of trouble for causing this big budget movie, to be delayed and way over budget. Or maybe the movie was just bad and it needs to be redone? We wont know until we see the final cut in theaters and judge for ourselves.

“It is not true that Warner Bros. has asked for any reshoots on ‘Sherlock Holmes,’” the studio said in a statement. “The inserts and pickup shots being completed next week, which have long been part of the schedule, do not involve any cast, and are a standard part of filmmaking.”
