Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam, featuring Superman and Captain Marvel, is included with the upcoming DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection. A significant feature has George Newbern and Jerry O’Connell reprising their roles roles of Superman and Captain Marvel from Justice League Unlimited. The short also features the voice talents of Arnold Vosloo as Black Adam and James Garner as Shazam.[23] The short will be twenty-two minutes, giving it the longest run-time of any short in the series.

The focus is not on the violence, but on the conversation, the banalities and intensities of human interaction and obsessive interest in detail. We see what makes Ray tick, even as we witness his brutal efficiency. This darkly comic tale is fictional narrative, shot like a documentary. Its main character is a likeable killer, whose strangely moral illustrations take a jab at everything from the legalization of drugs to the prevalence of gays in Hollywood.

Marrieds Andy and Lisa Wyrick found their world turned upside-down when their four-year-old daughter, Heidi, claimed to be enjoying regular visits with “Mr. Gordy,” a gray-haired older man who would regularly chat with her and push her on a swing. Curiously, no one else could ever see Mr. Gordy, and instead, the Wyricks often found their daughter sitting in her room and blankly having conversations with an empty space. Soon, Heidi identified a second figure, known as Con – this one a slightly malevolent, one-armed figure covered in blood – and began to witness a faceless apparition drifting through the house. Curiously, the parents researched the phenomenon and indeed found that two deceased neighbors, named Mr. Gordy and Con, had once inhabited the premises. The situation grew direr when the spirits began harming the family – Heidi turned up with claw marks in her face, and Andy with claw marks on his side. With nothing else left to do, the family summoned parapsychologist Dr. William Roll. As Electronic Earthquake opens, the viewer sees a strange cable that flows into the harbor near Metropolis. The cable slinks along the harbor to the underwater lair of a brilliant Native American scientist. The scientist visits the Daily Planet, where he demands that Metropolis be returned to his people, who settled there long ago. Editor Perry White refuses to print the scientist’s demand, at which point the scientist tells him that he will destroy the city if his demand is not met. He returns to his secret lab, followed by Lois Lane, who smells a good story. Unfortunately, Lois is discovered and captured, and the scientist proceeds with his plan. Utilizing his cable, he sends enormous surges of electricity under the ground, triggering a terrific earthquake. Superman finds the source of the earthquake and breaks the main cable, then begins dismantling various other cables from the lab. This unfortunately causes the lab to start flooding. Superman saves Lois in the nick of time, and succeeds in capturing the evil scientist as well.
